元米副大統領のゴア．大統領選以前から，温暖化問題の重要性をずっと認識していたとか．政治家ではなく映画監督として，どのような才腕を見せてくれるのだろう．石油に依存しすぎてきた社会の問題に触れるのだろうけど，トレーラーの映像はとても美しい．アメリカでは昨年，上陸するハリケーンの増加と地球規模の温暖化との関連性を否定する科学者が多くいたことを思い出す．National Geographicが昨年温暖化特集を組み，ハリケーンとの関連性を指摘して話題になった．イラク戦争がOil Warとも呼ばれる現在，「不都合な真実(An Inconvenient Truth)」の題意は明らか．
